We are delighted to announce that Alex Thistlethwaite, drummer with UK rock band Massive Wagons, has joined the Ramrods Artist Family.
Alex is enjoying great success with Massive Wagons following years of relentless touring and an impressive discography of singles and album releases. Now, as the band prepares for album number 8, Massive Wagons are poised to make another major leap forward when they perform two sold-out homecoming shows in the Great Hall of Lancaster University, where hundreds of legendary artists including Queen, Bob Marley and Blondie played historic shows. The performances will be recorded for Massive Wagons’ first-ever live album.
On becoming a Ramrods artist, Alex says, “We recently played a full electric live show for our Patreon fans in a more intimate room than we are used to - no stripped down acoustic show - the full-on rock band experience! I played the entire show using Ramrods Foamer Lites and it was fantastic. I didn’t have to hold back or tense up trying to keep the volume under control - Ramrods took care of it and I could just play with my usual energy - it was awesome! So, when I got the opportunity to become part of the Ramrods Artist family, I jumped at the chance. I love these percussion rods and the whole Ramrods vibe is just so cool”.
Ramrods Marketing Director, Tony Lythgoe, said, “We’ve been big fans of Massive Wagons for some time and we love their super-cool attitude just as much as their music. Alex is a phenomenal drummer and he really understands how Ramrods can play a part in a hard rock band situation - it just made sense to bring him into our world. Welcome to the family Alex!”
