Wicked Drums & Percussion team join the Ramrods Artist Family

We are delighted to announce that drummer Gareth Roberts and percussionist Markus Gruett, from the world-famous musical Wicked at London's Apollo Victoria, have joined the Ramrods Artist Family.

Gareth and Markus have an enviable reputation as world-class musicians for numerous West End musical theatre shows and when they approached us to try out Ramrods percussion rods, we were thrilled. Tony visited them at the theatre and helped the guys work their way through the full range of products. Gareth was immediately taken with the Foamer Lites and Markus grabbed a pair of Repinique 400s - both were keen to use them right away. Gareth says, "I love the balanced feel of the Foamer Lites from the get go, plus, the definition I get from the ride cymbal is unlike any other percussion rod I have tried." Markus also told us, "there is a Latin percussion break in the production that I just have to use these Repiniques on - they just feel so naturally balanced with just the right amount of flex."

Aside from Wicked, Gareth and Markus both enjoy working in other musical situations and they are keen to try their new Ramrods out in a variety of sessions.
