Ramrods is delighted to welcome legendary percussionist Lea Mullen to our family of artists.
Lea's stellar reputation as a drummer and percussionist is without question. His spectacular CV, which represents many years performing at the highest level, includes live and session work with George Michael, Happy Mondays, D:Ream, Sister Sledge, Craig Armstrong and Kenny Thomas. Lea is also an in demand percussionist for TV and film producers having recently worked on titles for Netflix, Amazon and Paramount.
Lea has just completed a UK tour with The George Michael Singers and found the Ramrods Repinique to be his "go-to" sticks for the majority of the songs. Lea says, "I picked up the Ramrods Repinique Rods for a timbale section and they felt so natural in my hands. But then I discovered that they worked brilliantly on metals and bells. They have a more resonant tone that wooden sticks yet have the same attack and presence as a metal beater - it just means I don't need to swap out the tools mid-song, so I never lose my groove and everything flows so naturally. I am loving the Ramrods range but these Repiniques are my absolute favourites!"
We're proud to have an artist of Lea's calibre choose Ramrods and we look forward to working closely with him in the future.
